🥾 Ascend Adventure Hike #3!
Saturday August 16th 

Sheridan Lake, Black Hills, SD

🚐 Departure: Back of Ascend Parking Lot. We will caravan to the trailhead
(Please plan ahead for travel time—carpooling encouraged!)

🥾 Hike Details:
Distance: 4.5 easy to moderate miles round-trip
Trail Type: Out-and-back
Terrain: Our third hike of the summer will be the Spring Creek and Flume Trail, at Sheridan Lake in the Black Hills. This will be an easy to moderate 4.5mi hike starting at the trailhead at the back of Sheridan LakeThe trail follows the lake for about a mile before starting its loop around Spring Creek, before returning to the lake dam and then back to the trailhead. There are many unique features along the trail; some distinctive rock formations, some historical remnants of the flume that carried water to the Rockerville area to help with gold mining there, some very extraordinary bridges we will cross, and one fun surprise feature along the trail!

• We are looking forward to seeing you out there as we explore the Awe and Wonder of God’s creation and also take some time to reflect on the Awe and Wonder of the greatness of God Himself and how dearly He loves us!
